Good job to people trying to make changes in their life! Especially when it comes to health and eating and exercise and all that good stuff. Not quicky lose weight methods. But genuine make healthy choices blah blah blah.  Don’t let the lack of explanation or words discredit my sincerity. :-P

Book Lust

I figured it out!! What I was trying to remind myself of is to find a notebook to list the books that I have read and books or topics that I want to read.  I just happened to be at Barnes & Noble the other day and found EXACTLY what I was looking for! It’s a book called, “Book Lust.” Genius! You can list all the book’s information and then there’s a page and a half to write comments.  Of course with my obsession with notebooks & journals I had to get a separate notebook to list my want to read books.

I love learning new things! It like makes you smarter and junk. ;-)   Even when I have to fix things at the office and am momentarily annoyed, after I figure it out, I think, “Awesome! I totally learned something new!”  Okay I know, this is totally a pat yourself on your back moment.  But learning new stuff is cool. Don’t be afraid to learn all that you can. Cause Dude – it’s all you can take with you when you die! hahaha what a lovely morbid moment.

Favorite things for today: August 25, 2009

Filed under: Fantastic! — steppingoutofthebubble @ 9:31 pm
  • Mornings with Mom
  • When Mom makes coffee (cause she makes it super sweet and creamy and not healthy!  I try to not put too much sugar and cream in my coffee so it’s always a treat when she makes it. YUM!)
  • Nothing makes the day start on a good note like a good laugh. Laughing in the morning is the best! Well, laughing at any time of day is fantastic – but a morning laugh sets the day right.
  • Validation on an enlightened moment. Nope! Not going to explain. Just going to say it feels good when the light bulb goes on, and it’s validated that it’s the right light bulb. :-)

flocked wallpaper

This is a picture of flocked wallpaper.  Flocked wallpaper is basically fuzzy wallpaper, or having the pattern be raised. I LOVE flocked wallpaper. It’s so old school and reminds me of my Grandma’s dining room.  I love touching it. In addition to super human olfactories, I am very tactile! Love touching and feeling things (insert inappropriate joke as you please).  This particular piece of wallpaper is in my great-grandfather’s bathroom.

Please note:  I have NO idea how I did the spacing of these pictures. Nor how the spacing of my words happened.  It’s different though. So I dig it!

Frank Sinatra No matter where I am or what kind of mood I’m in whenever I hear the song “Strangers in the Night” by Frank Sinatra I always start to giggle.  It’s so over the top cheesy. I think half way through the song he forgets the lyrics and inserts some “doo-bee doobee doooo” Love it.
